Blog topic #1 Community Partnership

         I believe its easy to just randomly pick an organization to focus on for our Community Partnership project, but the CP's are that are most important are ones that either effect you in someway, you have high interest in or is in the area of studies your interested in. For my CP i choose the SM county Airports Administration. Both The San Carlos and The Palo Alto Airport are apart of the SM county. I could have picked the first CP on the class list, but instead i chose the Airport because its something I'm truly interested in , and what ever changes that are made to the airports, do effect my life as a travel and for my future goals as well.
Question 1: In What Sense did your CP grow from a local need or perspective?
-San Mateo airports, growth is based on a local demand by local businesses and residents. The Airport is an important business and transportation asset to the community. Local businesses use their own aircraft or local air charter services to be more efficient, productive and competitive in their business markets. since 1948, it now also provides emergency travel and law enforcement aid.The growth of the airport depends on the demands of the surrounding cities and business.
Question 2:Is your CP constrained or otherwise affected by Federal Policies?To whom is your CP Ultimately.
-The airports receive money from their user and business fees, which helps keeps the airport self funded. It receives no money from the county's fund. the airport has a set of their own rules, but in a small way they also abide by rules set forth by the federal government.I'm not exactly sure, if they are effected by the federal government like other airports are, but one i start participating with the  airports administration, i will understand more about their policies and their sources.
