San Carlos airport is a local airport but according to the research that i have conducted, i haven't found any information on San Carlos participating with any political campaigns or their candidates.
San Carlos airport association ( SCAPA) is run by thirteen board of directory members and over 300 general members. SCAPA is one of the largest pilots organization in the nation. The main focus of SCAPA is to :
-be an advocate for the airport , and promote the airports interests to local government agencies, the public and members and staff of the San Carlos airport.
-and hold meetings addressing topics such as aviation safety, noise procedures, product innovations, local Political and environmental status ,operational techniques etc.
The airport does state that they are actively involved with the politics of their state or their local government campaigns in San Carlos. the airport is more focused on campaigning and lobbying in support for their airport to gain more funding , members and support.
I believe that the San Carlos airport wouldn't participate in political campaigns because it would cause tension and confrontation towards the airport. unless the campaign is harming the airport such as a candidate wanting to destroy or change the surrounding area of the airport then probably the airport would be more involved.
The airport may participate in campaigns because at the end of the day , the airport is still a business and by advertising/ supporting a certain candidate or campaign could bring in more money, clients both passengers and politics, and more support in the things the airport needs.
